Buyer Guide
How to choose secure storage for a PED-free program
Buyers evaluating phone-free or PED-free programs usually compare three approaches: locking pouches, traditional metal lockers, and smart phone cabinets. The right choice depends on daily volume, supervision needs, space, power availability, and whether the facility needs usage records.
When pouches fit
Pouches can work for mobile enforcement, events, or settings where people keep the device with them but cannot access it. Buyers should plan for pouch distribution, unlocking stations, damaged pouches, and daily handling time.
When metal lockers fit
Traditional lockers can work when storage size is more important than density or phone-specific organization. They may take more space and may not provide drawer-level visibility or built-in phone workflow features.
When a smart phone cabinet fits
A smart phone cabinet is a strong fit when the buyer wants compact phone-specific storage, numbered transparent drawers, NFC + PIN access, optional charging, and a choice between offline operation and connected Smart Mode.

- Is wall power available, or is power-bank support preferred?
- Does the facility need charging, or only secure storage?
- Will administrators need remote opening, records, or reports?
- How much floor or wall space is available?
